Catholic Charities partners with others in advocating for justice
and in assisting those in need by “creating help for today and hope
for tomorrow”. For over 60 years, Catholic Charities has served as a
sign of hope to all people of all ages, religions, and races. In San
Joaquin County, we provide in-home support to seniors who wish to
remain in their own homes for as long as possible, family life
education, environmental justice advocacy, an emergency food
program, assisting immigrants with legal status adjustment,
enrolling children in health insurance, pre-natal program, and
enrolling eligible families in nutritious food programs.
The Emergency Food Bank provides food and nutritional training to over 130,000 people each year at their location in Stockton and at eight satellite food pantries throughout the county. Additionally, two Mobile Farmer’s Market vehicles reach over 60 under-served sites throughout the county. End result, over five million pounds of nutritious food are distributed, without charge, each year to county families and seniors!
Come down for a healthy and enjoyable walk or bike with friends, family or co-workers and have a great time while helping make life a bit better for the less fortunate.
